Website content requirements help provide a smooth shopping experience for consumers and minimize cardholder disputes and chargebacks.

General Website Content

  • Website content must reflect the merchant licensed business activity. The website URL must match the one provided in your application; no other URL is allowed.
  • Website must not contain prohibited products or services.
  • Website must show items/products/services descriptions, pricing, and transaction currency.
  • Website must display the accepted card logos (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) on the Home page.

About Us

  • Clearly describe the nature and activity of the business.

Terms and Conditions (T&C)

Must include the following information:

  • “United Arab Emirates is our country of domicile” and stipulate that governing law is local law.
  • Accepted card types (Visa, Mastercard) and transaction currencies.
  • We will not trade with or provide services to OFAC or sanctioned countries.
  • Minors (under 18) may not register or transact on the website.
  • Cardholders must retain transaction records and comply with merchant policies.
  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their accounts.

Privacy Policy (PP)

  • Cardholder details and personally identifiable information will not be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to third parties.
  • Merchant will not pass card details to third parties.
  • Merchant ensures data privacy and security through hardware and software measures, but cannot guarantee online security.
  • Merchant is not responsible for privacy policies of linked third-party websites. Contact them directly for information on their practices.
  • Website policies and T&C may be updated occasionally. Customers should check frequently for updates. Modifications take effect on the day they are posted.

Delivery Policy – Products

Must clearly describe the process

Keep proof of delivery receipt signed or confirmed by the registered customer

  • Shipping process and conditions for items/goods.
  • Delivery fees or free delivery options.
  • Delivery times for local and international orders.

Payment Confirmation – Services

  • Must describe how customers will receive payment confirmation (email, SMS, or mail) and expected timing.

Refund Policy

  • Refunds must be issued to the original payment method within 10–45 days, depending on the issuing bank.
  • Clearly detail return, refund, and cancellation policies. Example scenarios for refunds:
    • Wrong product sent by merchant
    • Product is defective
    • Product damaged during shipping
    • Product tampered
  • If no refund policy exists, this must be clearly communicated before purchase to avoid disputes.

Cancellation Policy

  • Specify time frame and conditions for reporting cancellations or replacements.
  • State conditions under which cancellation or replacement is allowed.
  • If no cancellation policy exists, this must be clearly communicated before purchase.
